Alex Morgan Continues With Wolf Power For Second Season And New Challenge
Fri, 31 March 2017
After two years competing in the SEAT León Eurocup, Alex Morgan has signed with Wolf Power to challenge for the TCR Germany title.
Ahead of the season opener at Oschersleben in Germany on 28th-30th April, the Reading-based driver has signed up with familiar team Wolf Power after a successful partnership in the 2016 SEAT León Eurocup Championship. After creating a strong relationship with the team last year, Alex is delighted to be back with Wolf Power and to build on the hard work by both team and driver as they secured 6 podium finishes in 14 races.
Alex will be driving the same SEAT car he raced previously but with the key TCR upgrades to sit in line with the championship. With only a month until the first race weekend, Alex has his sights set on getting to grips with the upgraded machinery and new tyres so that he can battle at the front right from the start of the campaign.
“After a brilliant year with Wolf Power in 2016, I am really happy to be back with the team for this exciting new challenge. They are a very professional and determined team, with an incredible passion for racing. They had good results in the TCR Germany series with other drivers last season, and with us all focused on the one championship this year, I know we can achieve great results.”The TCR Germany Championship speeds into action at the end of April. There are fourteen action-packed rounds across six iconic European circuits including the likes of the Red Bull Ring, Nurburgring and Hockenheim.
"I've heard great things about the TCR series already, and with the performance and speed shown last year, I'm aiming to be right at the front from the outset. There will be a lot of drivers competing this year and there are a few familiar faces, which will definitely make for some great racing. Fortunately there are some circuits which I was strong at last year, including my pole position at Red Bull Ring, but we will be aiming to be in the podium battles at all the circuits."Director of Infinity Sports Management, Harry Soden, comments:
“Alex has had two great seasons in the SEAT León Eurocup, and has improved throughout to be a permanent front runner. He always adapts quickly to new challenges and that will set him up well for the season ahead. Reigniting the partnership with Wolf Racing gives him and the team great continuity and we’re looking forward to seeing some more great performances in the SEAT car.”The opening rounds of The TCR Germany Championship take place on 28-30th April at Oschersleben, Germany.
